• The Critical Case Drain Line: Before starting the machine, ensure the case drain line is clear and unobstructed. A blocked case drain is the #1 cause of catastrophic seal failure in JD 333G travel motors.

• Check Sprocket Bolt Torque: Due to the high vibration of track loaders, sprocket bolts can loosen. Always use new bolts and a high-strength thread locker, then torque to factory specifications to prevent flange damage.

• Gear Oil Inspection: Change the planetary gear oil every 500 hours. Because CTLs often work in water and mud, check the oil frequently for a "milky" appearance, which indicates water contamination that will quickly destroy the gears.

• Initial Priming: Never run the new motor "dry." Fill the motor case with clean hydraulic oil before the first start to ensure the internal pistons are lubricated from the very first rotation.
